The MBNA 2010 All-Ireland Kick-Fada is next Saturday 11th September 2010 in Emmet Park, Old Connaught Avenue. The Ladies kick Fada will commence at 1.30pm and the men’s at 2pm. Startford/Grangecon GAA Club Notes
It was a quite week on the field this week for Stratford/Grangecon with neither our Senior team or Junior team in action.
Our Junior team are in championship action this Sunday against Eire Og in Larragh at 11.30am, all support to the lads will be very welcome, and we would like to wish them the very best of luck.

Unfortunately the senior hurlers were defeated by Kiltegan on Friday evening by a single point. Â This was a disappointing result for all the lads and sees them out of the championship. Hard luck lads. There are no senior matches fixed for the coming week. At juvenile level the U 16 footballers lost to Newtown on Monday night, a game there were winning well at half time , so a disappointing result....

The Bray Emmet’s golf classic which was held on Thursday last in beautiful weather was a great success.

U8/U10 Hurling: We would like to thank the teams from Aughrim and St Pat’s who made themselves available to us at short notice last Friday to ensure our blitz went ahead.
It was a great evening for hurling and the supporters really appreciated the skills on show from the u8 and u10 teams. Well done to all.
Training continues in the national school on Thursday from 6:45pm to 8pm.

Hollywood GAA Club Notes
The Senior team were defeated in the Keating Cup in Avondale V Newtown on Saturday on a scoreline of 2-14 to 2-10.

Junior League V Stratford never took place as no opposition arrived, so focus was switched to Championship, which began V Dunlavin in Donard on Friday.
Hollywood came home with a 5 point win on a score of 1-10 to 1-05 and now go on to face Tinahely in the Quarter Final.
