Wicklow Ladies footballers will have their first taste of championship football this year when they travel to Offaly this sunday the 27th of June at 2pm venue TBC. The team recently had a bonding week-end at the Avon Ri resort in Blessington where they took part in out-door activites including clay pigeon shooting where by all accounts Jackie Kinch would not be out of place on the Irish Olympic team.

Scoil Chonglais of Baltinglass took on Gaelcholaiste na Mara of Arklow in the Junior girls vocational schools football final in Aughrim. On paper this looked like a good contest as the two teams kicked around Dublin star Darren McGee put the Arklow girls through their paces while many of the Baltinglass Feile winning team kicked around at the other end but things changed very quickly as soon as the ball was thrown in.
