Wicklow ladies U14 team were crowned Leinster division two winners, when they beat Offaly by the narrowest of margins (3-5 to 2-7) in the Leinster Blitz on Monday last, writes Leinster PRO Michael Forde.

Wicklow faced old rivals Louth today in the first round of the All Ireland Junior football championship today, and in a game that provided excitement, drama both on the pitch and off it, along with some great football, ended in disappointment for Wicklow as Louth got revenge for their Leinster final defeat last week and moved one step closer to an All Ireland semi final, writes Paul Flynn.

The Wicklow Ladies have done the County proud with fine 2-8 to 0-7 win over Louth to win the Leinster Final. Leading 1-4 to 0-4 at half time the girls kicked on to win the Leinster title which will be a huge boost to Ladies football in the County.
Leinster Junior Championship Final Preview
The 2010 TG4 Leinster Junior Championship final has been fixed for Sunday the 18th of July in Dr. Cullen Park, Carlow, where Wicklow will renew old friendships, when they take on reigning TG4 Leinster Junior Champions Louth.
Lady Minors Fall Short
Wicklow Minors girls crashed out of the All-Ireland shield to Fermanagh in Bray. Wicklow started the brighter and but put the ball wide of the posts three times in the opening minutes. Little did anyone think at the time this would be a pattern for the whole game. Michael Kelly reports.
Ladies Minors to take on Fermanagh
Wicklow minor Captain Jackie Kinch will lead out the Garden County minor ladies this evening (7th July), when they take on Fermanagh in the All Ireland minor ‘B’ shield semi final. The game takes place in Bray Emmets GAA grounds, (old Conna), when Referee Mel Kenny (Mayo) will throw the ball in at 6.30pm.
